Welcome in the Wells Gray Provincial Park !
On the road to Bailey’s Chute
Such an amazing place to camp ! A lot of spots of this campground offer a view on the lake.. and we are in the heart of the forest ! Pay-per-use showers (spiders included). There is a little coffee house in a cabin too (wifi available) and the possibility to rent canoes. There was nobody at this period but I would strongly suggest booking ahead during the summer.
On the road to Jasper NP …
Welcome to the Rockies.. finally !
Park Pass Fee : 10$ per day per person
Where to stay ? Whistler’s Campground : the biggest campground I have ever seen ! Close to everything, spots are nice and bathrooms are very clean. The only campground open in this season.
Where to eat ? Breakfast at Bear’s Paw Bakery.. amazing scone !
Jasper Skytram x Whistler’s Mountain : the gondola is very expensive (40$ round-trip per person) but you have to see that view..
The Red Chairs
Medicine Lake : the almost dry lake and its characteristic atmosphere..
Maligne Lake : Our first gigantic lake.. and our favorite one ..
Athabasca Falls x River : So mesmerizing, especially with the mist coming in..
